The Directorate of Agriculture in Port Said implemented an enlarged campaign to remove encroachments on agricultural lands, within the work of the 25th wave that started on February 8, in implementation of the directives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation.

The campaign included the removal of two violating fish farms to the road campus with an area of 20 acres and 12 carats at the “Al -Ikhlas” association of the agricultural credit sector. The removal was made in coordination with the land improvement agency to provide the necessary equipment, and with the participation of the security forces and the southern district.
This campaign comes within the framework of the state’s efforts to preserve the agricultural area and prevent infringements that affect food security and environmental sustainability.
Agricultural lands in Egypt are facing great challenges due to urban crawl and illegal encroachments, which requires strict measures to preserve them.
The Ministry of Agriculture, in cooperation with the relevant authorities, seeks to implement sustainable plans to protect lands, which includes intensifying removal campaigns, and providing the necessary support to farmers to optimize the use of lands, in order to achieve sustainable agricultural development.

The concerned authorities affirmed their efforts to confront encroachments on agricultural lands, and to take legal measures against violators, while obliging them to return the thing to its origin at their own expense, to preserve the agricultural area and prevent the recurrence of these violations.
