Muscle cramps in the leg muscles during the month of Ramadan may be a common problem for many women, and their causes are due to several factors. Of it for changes in the lifestyle during the month of fasting, which may include not obtaining a sufficient amount of fluids and nutrients needed for the body during the fasting period, in addition to changes in the sleep pattern and a lack of comfort and standing for long hours in the kitchen to prepare food.

To reduce muscle spasms during the month of Ramadan, some simple and effective steps can be followed, such as: 1. Drink enough water during breakfast and suhoor to ensure sufficient hydration of the body.

2. Eat balanced meals that contain the necessary nutrients such as potassium, magnesium and calcium.

3. Exercise to relieve stress and pressures that may increase the possibility of cramps.

4. Be sure to sleep enough and get enough rest for the body.

5. Take periods of rest when standing in the kitchen, and rotating the foot on a small chair while standing.

In addition, some light exercise can be done during the fasting period, which helps reduce the possibility of muscle spasms such as elongation exercises.

Do not forget to consult a doctor if muscle spasms are accompanied by other disturbing symptoms or if they are annoying.
