The Directorate of Agriculture in Port Said moved to solve the crisis of the delay in the transfer of the beet crop, in implementation of the directives of Alaa Farouk, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, and the instructions of Dr. Ahmed Adam, Head of Services and Follow -up, Dr. Anwar Issa, Head of the Central Administration for Directorates, under the auspices of Eng. Kamel Tougia, Director General of the Directorate, and Dr. Mustafa Abdel Gawad, Chairman of the Sugar Crops Council.

The Al -Tina Agricultural Sahel administration implemented a field tour, led by Eng. Osama Dabis, to follow up the beet harvest and ensure that companies are committed to the transport schedule, as some companies were delayed in providing transportation, which caused the accumulation of the crop and the delay of supply.
The Directorate submitted an urgent report to the Sugar Crops Council to demand companies to adhere to the agreed dates, in order to preserve the rights of farmers and ensure the course of the harvesting season without obstacles.
The Directorate confirmed the continued field follow -up to solve any problems facing farmers, and work to provide a stable agricultural environment that guarantees the flow of harvesting and transportation.
The cultivated area of beet crop
It is noteworthy that the area cultivated in the beet crop this season in the agricultural sector in Port Said is 54 thousand acres, and the directorate seeks to ensure a successful harvest season without losses.
