Beautiful and joyful accomplishments achieved by Bahrain with all its institutions and members, may pass the honorable passage in our media, without shedding light on them sufficiently, and without identifying its exact details, the most recent of which was announced from the success of Al -Hadd Elementary School for Boys in the transfer of three of its autistic students from private class to regular classes, which is in all measures an achievement that deserves appreciation and benefit from it in transferring the experience to other schools.
There is no doubt that the developments and expansion of the world today highlight the need to invest the potential inherent energies in every member of society, including children with autism disorder, who have significant special capabilities, may not be available in each of the other children.
The “Future Heroes” class in Al -Hadd School represents a role model in the care and support of autistic students, as it depends on specialized educational strategies that meet their unique needs, such as learning to play, and individual teaching that takes into account individual differences, in addition to enhancing communication and independence skills, and these methods have proven their effectiveness in improving mental, academic, behavioral and social capabilities for these students, which helped them to integrate the gradual integration in Ordinary classrooms.
Here, I must point out what the teachers and supervisors of the program have made in good and powerful efforts, as they have proven that specialized education and studied programs can open new horizons for autistic students, to be able to interact positively with their peers and society.
The generalization of the “Future Heroes” experience in all schools of the Kingdom, which includes autistic students, must be a priority in educational policies. It is the right of these children to obtain equal opportunities for learning and growth within an inclusive environment, and the success of these initiatives enhances societal awareness about the capabilities of autistic children, and opens the way for them to be active individuals and producers in the future.
Our autistic children are not just cases that need special care, but rather underlying energies that need a supportive environment that reveals their real potential, and through the efforts of teachers, parents and society as a whole, we can turn them into future champions, able to creativity and contribute to building a more comprehensive and advanced society.
