Noura Al -Suwaidi, the Secretary -General of the General Women’s Union, affirmed the UAE’s keenness since the adoption of the Beijing curriculum declaration in 1995, to translate the recommendations into realistic policies, which enables women and enhances their role in leadership and decision -making sites, which made it a leading regional and global model in supporting women. This came during the participation of the General Women’s Union in the session “Investigation of Beijing’s promise to enhance the role of women in leadership”, which was held within the agenda of the 69th session of the Women’s Placement Committee in New York, the United States, which started on March 10 and continues until 21 of it.
