The Israeli -Israeli comedian Uni Klitstel sparked widespread controversy after his mockery of the suffering of the Palestinians in Gaza during one of its shows, as he mocked the circumstances of the people of the Strip in light of the continuous Israeli war, using a cynical method about the image in which the Palestinians are presented in the media.

During its presentation, Uni Klitszel referred to the Palestinian film’s victory, no other land in the Academy Award, considering that the Palestinians are only good at playing the role of the victim, he said.
He added that the suffering of the people of Gaza is limited to complaining about the lack of aid, reducing the size of the human catastrophe in which they live, and the matter did not stop at that, but rather criticized even the pictures of the victims, claiming that the dead children are fake, then he performed a satirical representation on the stage, as he lying on the ground claiming death, before standing: Thank you all, and the Oscar goes to Muhammad.
His statements were in a state of silence inside the hall, before asking the audience to applaud in a desperate manner, reflecting the discontent that his offer raised even among the attendees, and clips of the show spread on social media, as he faced a wide attack and accusations of mocking a continuous human tragedy.
This comes at a time when the Palestinian documentary has won no other land for the Academy Award for Best Documentary Film, a work that documents the cruel reality that the Palestinians live under occupation, to be the first Palestinian movie to win this prestigious award.
