The absence of Mohamed Kno, the Saudi national midfielder, was confirmed from the upcoming match against China, scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday, in the seventh round of the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.
The Saudi newspaper “Al -Riyadiah” reported that Kno did not participate in the group exercises on the green on Tuesday, as it is undergoing medical examinations today to determine the extent of his return to the training in preparation for the next confrontation against Japan.
Despite his absence from meeting China, the Saudi national team’s medical team decided to take Kno with the team to Tokyo, where he will undergo an intense treatment program in the hope that he will be ready for the Japan match in the eighth round of the qualifiers.
Kno is one of the main pillars in its formation of the Saudi national team, where he played 61 international matches, becoming the second most participating in the current “Green” list after Salem Al -Dossari.
The Saudi team hopes to win over China to enhance its chances of qualification, as the team is fourth in the group with 6 points, from a single victory and three draws, while receiving two losses against Japan and Indonesia.
