The Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, Amna Al -Rumaihi, revealed a study that is currently taking place to address the problems raised on the Mazaya program, the most prominent of which is the subject of monthly premium reviews every two years.
In her response to parliamentary questions, she indicated that social housing is one of the most important services provided by the government, which is the basis of community security, and as a result of the efforts of the Ministry of Housing to reduce waiting lists, as it exceeded 55 thousand in 2022, and reduced 47 thousand requests, despite the entry of new requests in the thousands.
Al -Rumaihi said: “We have provided more than 8,000 immediate services to citizens, and some of them remain for years on waiting lists.”
She added that the largest budgets have been monitored to support projects that provide housing services to citizens by 800 million dinars, as the Ministry will implement 3754 housing units in cities: Salman, the housing limit, the housing jacket, and Khalifa, Al -Ramli, and the ministry will work to expand the land development rights program through 11 projects during the two years in various governorates, with 4123 units, indicating that the number of projects The units can be increased during the two years.
And it indicated that the presence of real estate in the market is confirmed within the financing budgets of the ministry, explaining that the application of my home contains more than 20 thousand units that suit the housing units, all units are less than 100 thousand dinars, except for the lake exceeding 100 thousand dinars because the units that have greater than the rest of the regions.
Al -Rumaihi pointed out that the palm scheme was placed with features and facilities, as well as the citizens of the northern governorate and the 4 projects in which they are built are available to all the people of the northern governorate.
The minister said: “We are continuing to provide appropriate housing for all citizens, and we seek to solve all the problems of citizens that reach us, and we try to reversed all units, especially since the citizen pays 40% of the cost of the housing unit to citizens.”
For his part, MP Muhammad Al -Ahmad called for a study of the possibility of establishing or facilitating housing premiums on citizens, and this will increase the demand for advantages, while MP Abdul Wahid Qararat stated that the file of living, unemployment and housing is greater than the authority of a competent minister.
He indicated that the housing allowance is a burden on the state budget, calling for the allocation of lands and housing cities.
As for Representative Khaled Bouak, he said: “The price of the apartments exceeds 60 thousand dinars, why not give citizens.”
