Maryam Youssef, a university student from the Republic of Tatarstan, lives in Bahrain, and tells the “homeland” customs and traditions of their country in the holy month, and how Ramadan spends in Bahrain, saying: We are trying to focus on acts of worship; Because Ramadan is the month of the Qur’an, and we conclude the Qur’an at least one conclusion, and despite the difficulty of mastering the Arabic language for many residents of Tatarstan, the Holy Qur’an is taught to all since childhood, Muslim families are concerned with this matter.

On the family breakfast table, Maryam indicated that the families in Tataristan are keen on collective breakfast and said: If the city is small or the proportion of Muslims in society is few, Muslims break the fast in the mosque, so the families go to prepare the trip and usually the main plate is the Uzbek “Balouf”, which is rice with carrots, meat and some nuts, and this dish is famous; Because the percentage of Uzbek in Russian society and Al -Tatari is great.

As for breakfast in Bahrain, Maryam indicated that it begins with the soup dish, and the table is not without the samosa and some Bahraini food, and she said: In fact, we do not care much about the dining table, and when we prepare food, we do not cook many varieties, except in the event of breakfast with the family, or if we have guests.

As for prayer and worship in large cities such as Kazan, in which the proportion of Muslims rises, Mary explained that they are organizing a large collective breakfast, and it is held in a football field that can accommodate the largest number of fasting people, and people remain at breakfast until Tarawih prayer.

After breakfast, Maryam and her family go to Tarawih prayers in Al -Fateh Mosque or any mosque close to the house, noting that she shared the family’s friends of Bahraini citizens in the celebrations of Qaraqaoun.
