The Labor Market Regulatory Authority implemented 1,769 campaigns and an inspection visit, during the period from February 23 to March 1, which resulted in the arrest of 22 violating and irregular workers, while the number of deportees during the mentioned period reached 87 violators. The campaigns and inspection visits also resulted in the monitoring of a number of violations related to the provisions of a number of regulators, especially the provisions of the Labor Market Regulatory Authority and the Residence Law in the Kingdom of Bahrain, where legal measures were taken regarding the observations observed.
The authority explained that 1,755 inspection visits were implemented on various shops in all governorates, in addition to 14 joint inspection campaigns, including 7 campaigns in the Capital Governorate, two campaigns in the Muharraq Governorate, and 4 campaigns in the southern governorate, along with one campaign in the northern governorate, noting the participation of the Ministry of Interior represented in nationality, passport and residence affairs, security directorates in the governorates, the Coast Guard Command, the Community Service Police, and the Supreme Council For the environment, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the Ministry of Municipalities and Agriculture represented in the Department of Marine Control and the Department of Fishing Ports.
The authority affirmed the continued joint coordination with government agencies to intensify inspection campaigns in all governorates of the Kingdom, and to address any violations or practices that negatively affect the labor market, stability and competitiveness, or harm the economic and social security in the Kingdom.
