Khaled Al -Balshi, the Syndicate of Journalists, and Muhammad Kharjah, the treasurer and head of the Housing Committee, signed the contract of the union’s land in the city of 6th of October. The contract includes all the controls, requirements and financial settlements, in the presence of Mohamed Saad Abdel Hafeez, the union’s undersecretary, and Engineer Mohamed Abdullah, head of the Gardens Development Authority, October 6, along with a number of officials of the agency.

The signature came after the union’s payment of the batch offered for the price of the land, which amounts to 25% of the total value, in addition to two other installments of the total installments due to the union.
The union had launched a bid between real estate developers to implement the city of journalists in the city of 6th of October, where seven developers were offered to bid.
The Center for Supporting Architectural and Engineering designs at the Faculty of Engineering – Cairo University, in its capacity as the consultant responsible for the project, is examining the technical and financial envelopes.
It is reported that the deadline for submitting offers is March 29, 2025, after which the best technical and financial offers are chosen in preparation for the start of the project. The work is scheduled to end within a period not exceeding 36 months from the date of signing the contract.
