Kafr El -Sheikh University has achieved a new center in international classifications, as the university managed to apply in the Spanish SCIMAGO classification to the Golden Square globally in the category of the first -grade universities of the Q1 among the top 25% in the world.

Dr. Abdel Razek Desouki, President of Kafr El -Sheikh University, announced that the university made a remarkable progress in the Spanish Simago classification for the year 2025 within the universities of the first category Q1 in the total index Overall. Business, seventh in veterinary medical sciences, eighth in environmental sciences, engineering sciences and ninth in pharmaceutical sciences and eleventh in agricultural sciences.
The President of Kafr El -Sheikh University also stressed that progress in global classifications is due to the university’s keenness to advance the educational process during the past years in all fields and sectors such as interest in punches and quality in producing scientific research, and increasing the rate of general spending on applied scientific research and social and human science Higher and scientific research, directing research towards the needs of the state, national projects and community service.
Dr. Abdel Razek Desouki explained that the Simago classification for research and academic institutions is one of the most important international classifications, as the general index in this classification depends on three sub -indicators: 50 % for the research performance index and 30 % for the innovation output index and 20 % for the societal impact index, and under which 17 sub -indicators are included to evaluate performance, and the classification included this year 9756 international institutions including Universities, governmental, research and health institutions, companies, and institutions that are not profitable.
For his part, Dr. Ismail Al -Kamb, Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research, indicated that this classification is a strong international recognition of the development of the university in higher education and scientific research, explaining that international classifications contribute greatly to improving the university’s reputation internationally in particular and Egypt in general in the field of higher education and scientific research, and also stressed the maximization of benefiting from scientific devices in colleges and central laboratories at the university to encourage applied scientific research and international scientific publishing and progress for competitive projects Locally and internationally, and fulfill the requirements of international classifications.
