Abdel Halim Allam, the captain of the lawyers and head of the Arab Lawyers Union, held a joint meeting today, Saturday, that included members of the General Syndicate Council and sub -union captains, to discuss the crisis of increasing the recent judicial fees imposed under the name of the services.
The meeting, which was held at the headquarters of the Lawyers Club in October, ended with the categorical council of these increases, stressing that it violates the constitutional principles that guarantee the right to litigate for all without unjustified financial restrictions.
The most prominent meeting decisions
1. Rejection of all decisions to increase judicial fees, especially the courts of appeal, for violating the principle of constitutional legitimacy.
2. Delegate the General Captain in communicating with the concerned authorities to resolve the crisis and seek to cancel it.
3. Take an escalatory step by stopping dealing with court treasures at the level of the Republic, provided that the date of the start of the implementation is set later.
4. Keep the General Syndicate Council in a permanent convening until reaching a solution that ensures that the rights of lawyers and litigants are not prejudiced.
Captain Abdel Halim Allam stressed that the union will not tolerate the defense of the rights of its members, and will not accept any financial decisions that hinder the course of justice or impose unjustified burdens on lawyers and litigants.
