The museum sector administration shed light on the National Day of Fayoum Governorate, which suits March 15 of each year, to commemorate the heroic people of the Fayoum people against the English occupation forces during the 1919 revolution led by Hamad Pasha Al -Basil.
The Museum Sector Department said in a statement that Fayoum Governorate is famous for the presence of many natural places, the most famous of which are: Wadi Al -Rayyan Reserve, Qarun Reserve, Wadi Al -Haytan diet, and also possesses a variety of ancient Egyptian, Roman, Coptic and Islamic monuments, including: Hawarah, the ruins of the city of Madi, the Laber Palace Temple, the Cemetery of Princess Narfu Battah, the pyramid of Al -Lahun.
The effects of Fayoum Governorate
The Museum Sector Department also indicated that Fayoum owns a group of Greek and Roman monuments, including: Qarun Divoisias Palace, Caranees, Umm Al -Bureijat Tabbons, the city of Diamiya Al -Sebaa, and the Coptic monuments: Deir Al -Azab, Deir Al -Malak Gabriel, and from the Islamic monuments: Prince Suleiman Mosque, and the Khund Aslabay Mosque.
Kom Oshim Museum
And on the museums, there is the Kom Oshim Museum, and it is located at the entrance to the famous ancient city of Kranis, which is full of many Greek Roman monuments, and the Kom Oshim Museum was opened in 1974 AD, to introduce the history of Fayoum, to include some of the artifacts found in the region, and in 1993 AD the area of the building was increased and attached to the upper role, and the Kom Oshim Museum was reopened again to visitors in November 2016, after its redevelopment.
The scenario of display focuses on various topics related to the aspects of daily life and economic activities in the ancient Fayoum society such as agriculture, hunting, animal education, birds, and old industries.
