The European Union has warned that Israeli strikes against Syria and Lebanon warn of more escalation.
The United Nations indicated that it expects that about 3.5 million refugees and displaced refugees will return to their homes in Syria this year, and says more aid and financing is needed.

The United Nations stressed that Syria is going through a critical turn, as the country is trying to rebuild and reintegrate citizens returning to their homes amid a worsening humanitarian crisis.
The situation in Syria
The Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, Bader Abdel -Ati, met Cairo Kaja Class, the supreme representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, on Sunday, to conduct political consultations.
Discussions focused on bilateral relations between Egypt and the European Union, as well as regional and international developments of common concern.
During the meeting, Abdel -Ati praised the continuous dialogue and coordination with the European Union on various issues.
According to Ambassador Tamim Khalaf, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abdel -Ali welcomed the progress made in relations between Egypt and the European Union.
