The Iraqi football team lost to its Palestinian counterpart, on Tuesday evening, in the eighth round of the second group of the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.
The match took place at Amman International Stadium in Jordan at nine o’clock in the evening and ended in favor of the Palestinian team 2-1.
The first half ended with the progress of the Iraq team with a goal without a return to Palestine, the goal scored Ayman Hussein in the 34th minute.
In the second half, the Palestinian team scored the goal of the amendment in the 88th minute through Wissam Abu Ali, and Palestine scored its second goal through the player, the dean of Muhajneh in the 90+7 minute.
With this result, Iraq’s balance was frozen at point 12, and Palestine raised its score to point 6 at the fifth place in the group.
