Australia is exposed to a devastating hurricane under the name of Hurricane Alfred, which caused large floods in the country, and the population was evacuated and schools were closed, amid fears of the risk of the hurricane that is still continuing.
Hurricane Alfred, which strikes Australia into a tropical storm, turned after crossing the islands off the eastern coast of Australia, where the floods caused by heavy rains are the biggest challenge in this hurricane, and meteorologists expect heavy rains in the coming days.

Many Australians are holed up in the threatened areas and clogged their homes with sand bags and equipped food and water supplies, and the hurricane is likely to hit the coast, according to the Australian Meteorological Authority.
The commission indicated that heavy rains, destructive winds and violent waves will strike the coast as the hurricane approaches.
It closed more than 900 schools in Queensland and the surrounding areas in northern New South Wales on Friday, officials of the Ministry of Education said.
The former tropical hurricane Alfred, whose classification was reduced to a tropical depression on Saturday, continued to influence some parts of the states of Queensland and New South Wales in Australia, where floods, strong winds and heavy rains struck several areas in the two states.
The Australian Meteorological Office said on Sunday afternoon: Alfred landed on the southeastern coast of Queensland on Saturday evening and began to weaken as it moved inside Sunday.
The office issued a great warning to the floods in southeast Queensland, the Condamene and Burder, and another warning of the major floods of the Bremer and Warrel Creek River.
He also issued other warnings of floods at different levels, and a warning of strong winds and severe thunderstorms for some areas in Queensland, according to China’s Xinhua.
