The Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, Amna Al -Rumaihi, issued a decision to prohibit any division of lands within any of the villages or cities of the Kingdom temporarily.
According to the text of the decision, it is temporarily prohibited to conduct any division of lands within any of the villages or cities of the Kingdom if this region does not have facilities for infrastructure, or if it has incomplete facilities, or the absorptive capacity of its existing facilities is not commensurate with the required division work, all according to the maps of the construction of the reconstruction accompanying this decision.
And the third article of the decision stipulated that “it raises the ban stipulated when the reasons that led to the imposition of it are submitted, by a decision issued by the minister based on a note caused by the relevant administration.”
The decision also stipulated in its fourth article that “the authority in cooperation with the service authorities shall review the maps of the construction domains accurately and in the form of every 3 months, after receiving the necessary data, information and maps from those bodies, and infrastructure sites are also updated on the maps mentioned when needed, and the maps that are updated on the authority’s website are available.” According to the decision, the ban does not apply to the partition requests that were submitted before the provisions of this decision and the fulfillment of the conditions for obtaining the initial approval of the division project.
