The Ministry of Social Solidarity has announced the second ideal mother at the level of the Republic, which is Mona Najjar Suleiman Joudeh from Aswan Governorate, which is a real model of struggle and sacrifice. She was born in a simple family, and she was superior, but the death of her mother changed the course of her life, as she had to assume the responsibility of her father, her sisters, and her elderly aunt who was living with them.

Despite her ambition to complete her education, she joined the commercial secondary school to be able to reconcile her studies and the care of her family, and helped her sisters in teaching them and studying their lessons.

She got married in 1987 when she was eighteen, and after two years her husband traveled to work abroad, leaving her with two children and a third child. She had no choice but to return to her father’s house again, to start a new suffering between raising her children and serving and caring for her father and sisters.

Years later, the husband returned from traveling, so she returned to the marriage home, but she did not abandon her father, so she took him with her to continue his care, and gave birth to two other children.

Amid all these responsibilities, she got the opportunity to appoint a government job when she was thirty -nine years old.

She was going to work in the morning, then returned to care for her family, and her ambitions did not stop there, but rather decided to complete her education to achieve her old dream.

She joined the Faculty of Law at the Open University, and she was studying the days of leave, on Friday and Saturday, until she got a Bachelor of Law, to prove that ambition has no age.

But destiny was carrying another test, as her husband suffered lung cancer, and she was accompanying him on treatment trips to different governorates for a whole year until he passed away in 2012, leaving her five children in different educational stages between primary, preparatory, secondary and university.

The mother did not surrender despite the pain, but continued her struggle, she worked hard in her work, and established a small project next to her home, a supermarket, to counter the burdens of life and provide the needs of her children.

Mona set a clear goal in front of her: that her children complete their education and get the highest certificates, no matter how much effort and fatigue.

Indeed, she succeeded in achieving her dream, as her first son obtained a Bachelor of Commerce and married, and the second son obtained a Bachelor of Engineering and also married, while the third daughter was obtained a Bachelor of Education and Master’s degree and became an assistant teacher in the college and was married, while the fourth daughter is studying in the fourth year at the Faculty of Medicine, and the fifth son in the third year of the College of Pharmacy.

Despite everything she achieved, her giving is still continuing, supporting her children to complete their studies and reach safety, so that the story of her struggle remains a lesson in patience, strength and sacrifice.
