Standard & Poor Global reported on Monday that the initial purchasing managers index (PMI) for the services sector rose in March to 54.3, amid expectations that it would record a reading of about 51.2.
The report indicated that the service sector activity has risen to its highest level in three months, and at the same time, the manufacturing sector activity continues to shrink, as the initial purchasing managers index decreased to 49.8, lowering from the reading of last month of 52.7. Economists expected less to 51.9.
