Today, with the issuance of the Royal Royal Guidance by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the king of the country, may God protect and preserve him, with the construction of 50 thousand new housing units, we will be on the threshold of a new chapter of this story, a chapter that we can call it without exaggerating the “golden era of housing projects”, during the era of His Majesty the King, this royal directive comes to represent a qualitative leap that will re -draw the map. Housing in the Kingdom for at least a future contract.
His Majesty has remained the great king, and since he assumed the reins of government, is keen to be a right housing, not a repeated slogan, and a basic pillar of sustainable development .. The shelter exceeds that it is just a structural need, today it is a human basis and essence on which the family’s life is built, and through which belonging to the homeland is formed .. Perhaps this clear royal care is integrated with the efforts His Highness the Crown Prince, the Prime Minister, who carried the guidance of His Majesty since 2013, and put him into practice, until the promise of 40,000 housing units was completed, in the achievement of his lack of his counterpart at the level of the region, and in record time the worker went through with many economic fluctuations, in addition to the period of the pandemic that frozen all the world.
And today we are entering a new phase of work, as it was hardly that a stage ended, until another began, as the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, led by His Excellency Mrs. Amna bint Ahmed Al -Rumaihi, took the rapid move to form joint working teams with the Housing Bank, in order to translate the Royal Royal Guidance into a comprehensive executive plan, depending on the completion of housing cities, expanding partnership with the private sector, and diversifying financing solutions To ensure the immediate response to the needs of citizens, without stressful waiting periods.
Here, we must stand before the state of the general budget law 2025-2026, which allocated the highest number in the history of Bahrain for housing projects: 800 million dinars .. It is an explicit message that the right to housing is not a debate, but rather a state commitment, but more than that, is an obligation to lead that social welfare begins from the door of the house.
From Salman, to the city of Khalifa, then east of Sitra and East Al -Hadd, all of these projects exceed the maps and shocks, but rather a direct reflection of the sublime royal directives that chose to put man in the heart of the development equation. Today, with the new royal guidance, this department can accommodate more Bahraini families, who were waiting for her chance in a house sheltering and giving her a new start.
We are not only witnessing the implementation of a housing project, but we live a real embodiment of the eleventh goal of sustainable development: “Make cities and human settlements comprehensive, safe, flexible and sustainable.” And here is Bahrain, under its leadership, puts this goal into effect, not ink on paper, but rather on the ground, and in the lives of people.
