The head of the International Monetary Fund mission to Egypt, Ivana Vladkova Hollar, said that Egypt will be subject to the fifth review of the loan program of 8 billion dollars before the end of June 2025, and that Egypt will obtain $ 1.2 billion in the value of the fourth slide of the loan during the current month of March.

She added in a press conference today, Wednesday, that the approval of the Fund’s Executive Council yesterday to the fourth review of the Egyptian Economic Reform Program will be allowed to disburse the slide immediately, according to CNN.
Paying the flexibility and sustainability program
Yesterday, the International Monetary Fund agreed to the fourth review of the program, and approved its approval of a new loan to Egypt worth 1.3 billion dollars within the program of flexibility and sustainability.
She emphasized that the Egyptian government is committed to the plan to reduce fuel subsidies at the end of December 2025, explaining that the plan includes raising fuel prices to cost recovery levels by the end of the year, and the exchange of flexibility and sustainability loan will be linked to the implementation of 10 procedures and with the implementation of each procedure, Egypt will be able to exchange the tenth of the amount, noting that these procedures will be subject to review.
The head of the International Monetary Fund mission to Egypt said that the energy prices that reflect its cost will support investment in energy, and therefore it would help increase the supply, and given the increasing demand for energy in Egypt can avoid electricity lack.
