The Egyptian Golf Federation announced its hosting of the 24th edition of the Arab Golf Championship for Junior and Women, which will be held during the period from 7 to 10 May, in both Madinati Golf Club and Katameya Dions Golf Club in Cairo, under the auspices of the Arab Golf Federation.

The championship competitions include five age groups for boys and girls, in addition to a class for women, where the tournament has a long history, and one of the categories will be held for the 24th time, while the other categories will be held for the 16th, fifth, fourth, and second time.
The tournament includes the list of member states of the Arab Golf Federation eligible to participate in it: Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Tunisia, the United Arab Emirates.
The championship aims to enhance and support the game in the Arab region, in addition to developing golf in general by providing more opportunities and improving the quality of competitions for players of member states, as well as Arab individuals at the regional and international levels.
Omar Hisham Talaat, President of the Egyptian Golf Federation, expressed his happiness at hosting the federation for the first amateur championship in the agenda of the Arab Golf Federation for the year 2025, and said: a great honor for us, to organize the Arab Junior and Women Championship in a joint event between the Madinati Golf Club and the Katameya Dions Golf Club.
He added that this tournament will be the first major regional championship to be held during the period of the new board of directors of the Egyptian Golf Federation, explaining that the golf federation has ambitious plans to organize and host golf tournaments at a completely new level in Egypt, the Arab region and North Africa, whether for amateurs or professionals, in cooperation with local, regional and international golf sport, along with professional golf rounds from all over the world.
Omar Hisham added: For the first time, the Arab Junior and Women’s Championship for this year will witness the audience’s invitation to attend the championship activities, with a focus on attracting residents of Madinati by organizing the golf festival at Madinati Golf Club on the sidelines of the tournament activities.
The festival includes entertainment golf activities, in addition to musical performances, with the aim of attracting all age groups, and introducing them to this sport in an enjoyable way.
He continued: We seek to spread a golf culture and encourage more individuals to play the game at various levels.
He stressed that the Egyptian Golf Federation is looking to enhance Egypt’s position on the map of sports tourism by organizing the championship at the highest level and hosting it in the wonderful golf fields in Cairo, pledges that this experience be positive for all players, delegations, guests and fans.
