President Abdel -Fattah El -Sisi met today, Iraqi President Abdel Latif Rashid, on the sidelines of the extraordinary Arab summit held in the new administrative capital.

The spokesperson for the Presidency of the Republic stated that the President affirmed Egypt’s steadfast support for Iraq and its brotherly people, stressing Egypt’s readiness to engage in development efforts in Iraq and enhance bilateral cooperation with him in all fields, especially in the fields of infrastructure and energy.
For his part, the Iraqi President affirmed his keenness to intensify political coordination with Egypt and enhance bilateral cooperation in all fields, including in the areas of combating terrorism, culture, infrastructure and trade.
Ambassador Mohamed El -Shennawi, the official spokesman, added that the two presidents confirmed their position in support of the Palestinian people and their just cause, and the legitimate right to establish its state on the lines of the fourth of June 1967 and its capital, East Jerusalem, as a basis for reaching permanent peace in the region, as well as emphasizing the importance of starting the implementation of the Gaza Strip’s reconstruction plan without the displacement of its people from Egypt and adopted by the extraordinary Arab summit today.
