Dubai International Airport is preparing for an exceptional holiday season with expectations to receive more than 3.6 million passengers during the peak in the holiday period from March 26 to April 7, where it is expected that Saturday, April 5, will be the most crowded during this period with the reception of 309,000 guests.
The total number of passengers per day, according to the expectations of Dubai airports, is 276,000 on average, with estimates of the largest rise in the first week of April, according to the Emirates News Agency.
Expectations also indicate that the number of departure trips during the Eid week increased by 19 %compared to the average weekly flight sizes during the past month, which reflects a significant season.
Dubai airports called on travelers to use the recently launched DXB Express Maps, a smart tool that provides immediate mobility in all airport buildings.
Earlier, Emirates Airlines announced the increase in the number of flights to destinations in the region by running 17 additional flights during the Eid Al Fitr holiday.
She said in a statement that this year is expected to travel this year more than 355,000 passengers on Emirates Airlines on Eid Al -Fitr across the region, with additional flights to Jeddah, Kuwait, Dammam and Oman.
She announced the increase in its schedule to Kuwait to include two additional flights, the operation of 6 additional flights to Amman, and 5 other flights to Dammam, and will also add 4 trips to Jeddah.
