Dr. Mohamed Sami Abdel -Sadiq, President of Cairo University, announced the issuance of Republican Resolution No. 112 of 2025 appointing Dr. Hossam El -Din Ahmed Abdel -Fattah, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering for the second time in a row.

Dr. Mohamed Sami Abdel -Sadiq congratulated Dr. Hossam Abdel -Fattah on the confidence of the political leadership, and directed the necessity of leading the college in the spirit of the team, and working to develop it and advance it at the educational, administrative and research level within the framework of the university’s strategic plan, and the strategic plan of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research launched by Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research in March 2023.
The President of the University, Cairo, defined Dr. Hossam Abdel -Fattah several tasks, the most important of which is the advancement of all sectors of the college, the expansion of joint and double scientific degrees with international universities with advanced arrangement in international rankings, and the effective contribution to national projects implemented by the Egyptian state.
For his part, Dr. Hossam El -Din Abdel -Fattah expressed his pride in the confidence of the political leadership, stressing his keenness with all employees of the College of Engineering to implement the university’s strategy and the directives of its leaders, and his commitment to work in the spirit of the team, and institutional leadership, in order to achieve the university’s vision and goals.
It is worth noting that Dr. Hossam El -Din Abdel -Fattah obtained a Bachelor of Strong Engineering and Electrical Machines from Cairo University in 1993, as he obtained a master’s degree from Cairo University in 1995, and a doctorate degree from the University of Kis Western Reserve, Ohio, American in 1999.
He was also included in university positions since his appointment as a teaching assistant in the Department of Forces Engineering and Electrical Machinery at the Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University until he reached the degree of professor in 2012, and he held several administrative positions in the college, which is the director of the integrated digital systems laboratory, then the director of the Quality Assurance and Academic Accreditation Unit, and the Vice -Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development in August 2017, then the work of the Dean of the College of Engineering, until the decision is issued The Republican appointed him as Dean of the College of Engineering.
