Director of the Arab Gulf Community Service Center participates in the meeting of the Community Service Committee in the Gulf States

The Director of the Arab Gulf University Center for Community Service, Consulting, Training and Continuing Education, Dr. Afaf Boughawi, participated in the twenty -ninth meeting of the Secretariat of the Deans of the Deans of the Deanes, Colleges and Community Service Centers in the universities and institutions of higher education in the countries of the Cooperation Council for the Arab Gulf States, which was held from a distance and hosted by Kuwait University in the State of Kuwait.

During the meeting, the participants discussed a number of important issues that enhance the role of community service centers in developing skills, empowering individuals, and strengthening partnership between universities and Gulf societies, and recent initiatives were reviewed in the fields of continuing education, training, and social responsibility, in a way that contributes to achieving sustainable development according to the vision of the Gulf Cooperation Council states.

The aim of the meeting is to enhance cooperation and exchange experiences between Gulf universities in the field of community service, and to discuss ways to achieve the development renaissance, in light of future challenges by reviewing new initiatives to develop community service.

The meeting was chaired by the Secretary -General of the Deans of the Deanship of Deanships, Colleges and Community Service Centers in the universities and institutions of higher education in the countries of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf and the assistant deputy director of the university for academic services supporting community service and libraries, Dr. Hamid Suleiman Al -Freih, in the presence of members of universities in the Gulf Cooperation Council states.

For her part, Dr. Bogoy stressed the importance of joint cooperation between Gulf universities in developing community service programs, noting the keenness of the Arab Gulf University to provide qualitative initiatives that meet the needs of Gulf societies and contribute to building national capabilities.

The meeting concluded with a number of recommendations aimed at enhancing integration between community service centers in the Gulf countries, enhancing their role in facing societal challenges, and raising the efficiency of the training and educational programs provided.
