Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister of the Prime Minister, chaired the regular meeting of the Council of Ministers, which was held today, in the Palace of Al -Qudaibiya.
The Council of Ministers started its meeting by raising the highest verses of congratulations and blessings to the shrine of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the Great Country, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on the occasion of the near coming Eid Al -Fitr, asking the Lord – Glory be to Him – to return this blessed occasion to His Majesty and His High And blessings.
The council also raised the highest verses of thanks and gratitude to His Majesty the King of the country, may God protect and preserve him, for the directives of His Majesty regarding the speedy pace of housing projects to provide 50,000 housing units, noting the intensification of efforts by the competent government agencies to accelerate the implementation of housing programs and projects according to the aspirations and directions of His Majesty the King, and will also put all the executive plans that ensure the speed of achieving what is preferred God is directing it regarding the multiplication of efforts to meet the national aspirations in the vital sectors, with a focus on the development of the education and health sectors, as they are the cornerstone of the human renaissance and its role in building the country.
After that, the Council of Ministers praised the approach of His Majesty the King of the country, in communicating with the citizens, which was evident by receiving His Majesty to well -wishers from the various governorates of the Kingdom, during the blessed month of Ramadan, and His Majesty prefers to visit the Ramadan councils, in the context of his constant keenness to meet the people From the various governorates of the Kingdom on the occasion of the blessed month of Ramadan, as the council valued the visits by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, the Prime Minister, to the Ramadan councils, in continuation of its generous habit in such blessed days of the holy month of Ramadan, which embodies the approach of parents and grandparents in direct communication with citizens on various occasions.
In this regard, the council affirmed that the national cohesion will remain a basic pillar of the prosperity of the Kingdom of Bahrain and its move forward towards achieving its goals for the good and elevation of the citizen.
Then the council indicated the keenness to continue supporting young national cadres and enhancing its role in continuing to contribute to advancing the comprehensive development of the Kingdom of Bahrain, led by His Majesty the King of the country, in the context of its indication of the Bahraini Youth Day, which falls on the twenty -fifth of March of each year.
After that, the Council affirmed the firm commitment to the Kingdom of Bahrain to continue the launch and support of initiatives aimed at consolidating the values of love, tolerance and peace in the world, based on its humanitarian and civilizational role, in the context of reference to the international conscience day, which was adopted by the United Nations in response to the initiative of His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, may God have mercy on him, which coincides with the fifth of April of each year.
Then the Council confirmed the continuation of the adoption of initiatives that enhance the confrontation of climate change and the preservation of the environment, pointing to the participation of ministries and governmental and private agencies in the Kingdom of Bahrain in the “Hour of the Earth”.
After that, the Council approved the following notes:
1. The Foreign Minister’s memo on the Kingdom of Bahrain’s candidacy for permanently unreasonable membership in the United Nations Security Council during the period (2026-2027).
2. The Memorandum of the Ministerial Committee for Financial and Economic Affairs and the financial balance on the draft law adopting the state’s general budget for the two-year 2025-2026 and referring it to the House of Representatives in accordance with the legal and constitutional frameworks, as it took into account the state’s general budget draft for the fiscal years 2025-2026, strengthening the commitment of the Kingdom of Bahrain to achieve financial sustainability, in order to achieve the aspirations of citizens, and supports the goals of the comprehensive development march, And continue to develop the quality of government services, achieve the sustainability of providing housing services to citizens and reducing waiting lists, in addition to supporting the education sector with Bahraini competencies, developing curricula and expanding educational services, continuing the implementation of infrastructure projects, including establishing schools that serve the expansion of new housing cities, reopening a number of historical schools and establishing academic buildings in schools, developing and maintaining road maintenance and sanitation networks, and sanitation networks, Developing health services, improving their quality for citizens, and enhancing job opportunities.
In this regard, the Council praised the directives of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, the Prime Minister in consulting with representatives of the legislative authority in its two chambers to present the foundations and principles on which the state’s general budget project is based 2025-2026, and the Council also pointed to constructive cooperation between the executive and legislative authorities, which was the basis and basis Headed by the Minister of Finance and National Economy and the committees specialized in the Shura and Representatives Councils and all members of the executive and legislative authorities throughout the period of meetings between the two authorities on the draft law of the state’s general budget.

4. A Memorandum of His Excellency the Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Education Quality and Training Authority regarding the approval of the authority’s reports.
5 .. Memorandum of the Ministerial Committee for Legal and Legislative Affairs on the government’s response to 3 proposals with a desire submitted by the House of Representatives.
Then the Council reviewed the memorandum of His Excellency the Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments on the progress of work in the Ministry’s projects, according to the government program 2023-2026.
Then the council took note through ministerial reports as follows:
1. The results of participation in the meeting of the joint Arab Islamic Committee with the UNHCR of the European Union for Foreign Affairs, Politics and Security.
2. External posts of Excellencies and Excellency Ministers, and visits of brotherly and friendly ministers to the Kingdom of Bahrain in April 2025.
