Maserati was aimed at presenting the MC20 Folgare, an electric version of its elegant super car, this year, but the Mc20 Folgore was officially canceled.
Cancel the production of the Mc20 Folgare
Maserati announced for the first time her intention to create an electric supercar in 2020 when it first unveiled the gas MC20.
The Italian auto manufacturer said that the electrical version will arrive shortly after the launch of the V-6 engine for sale and will carry the 300-horsepower motor transmission group, but when the MC20 finally arrived in the streets for 2022, there was no news about the FOLGERE version.
Last year, Maserati presented us with an update from the MC20 Folgore, and revealed that it would be launched in 2025, but this project was canceled, as the company said that the decision was due to the remarkable lack of commercial interest.
Maserati also explained that market studies for the super sports car sector, especially for MC20 customers, have shown that they were very keen to drive strong Ice engines and that they are “not ready to switch to Bevs in the foreseeable future.
Autocar reported that instead of Folgore, MASERATI will make a comprehensive update of the MC20 gasoline, which may include some of the promotions in MC20 GT2 Stradale.
