Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, the Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports, revealed the scenes of the image that I gathered with Ahmed Sayed Zizou, the Zamalek team, in the last Egyptian national team camp before traveling to Morocco to face the Ethiopia national team in the next World Cup qualifiers 2026.
Egypt beat Ethiopia on Friday, with two clean goals in their match in the fifth round of the next World Cup qualifiers 2026.
Ahmed Sayed Zizou’s contract with Zamalek club expires at the end of the current season, and so far his contract has not been renewed due to the dispute over the financial compensation of the deal.
Dr. Ashraf Sobhi confirmed that he held a session with Ahmed Mustafa Zizou, the player of Zamalek and the Egyptian team, in the Egyptian national team camp before the Pharaohs travel to face Ethiopia in Morocco in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, at the request of the player.
He added in statements to the “Stars in Ramadan” program through the radio of youth and sports: “When I was in the Egyptian national team camp, I was surprised by Ahmed Mustafa Zizou asking to talk to me about the crisis of his late dues when he was with the Olympic team in the last Paris Olympics.
He continued: “I listened to the complaint of Zizou, then I spoke with Hani Abu Raida, head of the Egyptian Football Association, and summoned the rest of the players who have the same complaint in order to find a solution to this crisis.”
He continued: “I expected a controversy over my picture with Zizou about his current crisis with his club Zamalek, but I have a great degree of patience and ability to bear any pressure, but there must be respect for the officials.”
He continued: “Hani Abu Raida promised the players to spend their late dues with the Olympic team.”
