An American official ruled out an opportunity to reform relations between Washington and Kiev if Voludmir Zellinski remains president of Ukraine.
“We cannot do anything to fix this, the solution should quickly come from Zelinski, or he will have to step down,” CNN quoted Senator Lindsay Graham as saying.
The official added that “American politicians have become accustomed to their words have a great impact, but the statements made by them, on Friday, made a great resonance on the established criteria for European security, which prompted the continent, which has just recovered from the horrific blow that it suffered, in the past ten days, to suddenly reinforce the safety belts.”
The public verbal altercation between Donald Trump and Voludimir Zellinski, at the White House Friday, shed light on the dispute as a growing between the United States and Ukraine, and raised questions about the next stage.
The tone of communication began to rise between the American president and his Ukrainian counterpart for weeks, especially with Trump’s description of Zelinski as a “dictator”, before reducing his suspension, without retracting it.
This relationship began with tension after the phone call, on February 12, between the American President and his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin.
