Training 500 citizens on the design and management of dialogue initiatives
The head of the Bahraini Dialogue Foundation, Suhail Al -Gosaibi, stressed that the Foundation has succeeded in training more than 500 Bahraini to design and manage dialogue initiatives, which provided them with the skills necessary to resolve societal conflicts, noting that Al -Watan was that the Foundation has organized 290 activities since its foundation in 2012, which benefited 14,863 people from activists and interested people.
He pointed out that the civil dialogue plays a pivotal role in resolving conflicts in a friendly manner, which contributes to avoiding the escalation of differences to legal disputes and achieving balanced solutions to its limbs, and enhances understanding between individuals and local communities.
Al -Gosaibi added that the efforts of the Foundation are not limited to training, but rather extended to developing specialized content to enhance peaceful coexistence and address differences through constructive societal dialogue; Noting the keenness to highlight the success story of Bahrain as a role model in supporting community dialogue, to be an inspiration for others, through the issuance of a documentary and a book that reviews the achievements of the Bahraini Foundation for Dialogue entitled “The Story of Dialogue”. He stressed that these achievements would not have been achieved without the unlimited support from the leadership and its directives by consolidating a supportive environment that enables civil society to prosper and active contribution to promoting social stability; Once again, the firm commitment to continuing to promote dialogue and consolidate the values of social harmony in Bahrain and abroad.
Al -Qusaibi founded the “Bahraini Dialogue” in 2012 with the blessing of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister; In the name of “the Bahraini Foundation for Reconciliation and Community Dialogue”, then its name changed in 2016 to the “Bahraini Foundation for Dialogue”, and it works according to a vision that is “achieving a coherent Bahraini society based on dialogue and mutual understanding”, and to achieve a set of goals, the most important of which is the consolidation of the culture of dialogue and the spirit of belonging to the homeland and creating a free space in which various stripes and opinions meet to serve Bahrain.
