The «Al -Mundhir» satellite, which was launched from Vandinburg’s space base in the US state of California, using the Falcon9 missile from the famous Spacex company, designed and developed with young Bahraini competencies from the Bahrain Space Agency, carries four innovative technical loads that embody the scientific progress of the Kingdom. The first of these loads is a medium -accurate space camera whose task is to monitor the lands of Bahrain and its territorial waters, while activating artificial intelligence techniques to analyze and process images and processing them before sending them to the ground.
The second load represents a qualitative shift, as Al -Mundhir is unique in its ability to apply artificial intelligence in processing and analyzing images directly in space, which reduces the size of the sent data, and increases the efficiency of communication. As for the third load, it is devoted to space cybersecurity, and uses advanced techniques – completely Bahraini – to protect satellite data from cybersecurity; Which enhances the digital independence of Bahrain in the space field. The fourth load comes to reflect the national identity in space, where the national anthem and a sublime word of His Majesty the King, may God bless him, will broadcast it through radio references that reach radio enthusiasts around the world, which contributes to promoting the Kingdom’s space achievement and enhancing its international presence.
“Al -Mundhir” underwent a series of strict tests to ensure his ability to bear the harsh space conditions and work efficiently, and these tests were carried out in cooperation with regional and international institutions, such as the Egyptian Space Agency and specialized centers in the Emirates and the Netherlands, which confirms the exact scientific approach that the Bahrain Space Agency has followed to ensure the success of the mission. The project was also enjoyed comprehensive support from various national institutions, such as the Bahrain Defense Force, which provided the infrastructure of the ground station, the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Finance and National Economy, and the Ministry of Information, in addition to the National Communications Center, the Ministry of Communications and Communications, the Communications Regulatory Authority, and Bahrain’s polycles, which confirms the national solidarity To achieve this achievement.
