The Syrian newspaper Al -Watan reported the arrest of the former Syrian Mufti Ahmed Badr al -Din Hassoun after the issuance of an arrest warrant from the Public Prosecutor at the Syrian Ministry of Justice
The newspaper published a photo of a memorandum of research and arresting Hassoun after submitting a complaint against him.
The Syrian social media pages circulated a picture of the previous mufti, and said that Hassoun was arrested at Damascus International Airport before traveling and fled abroad.
