The Egyptian club fans received a sad news with the departure of one of its most prominent stars, Captain Mr. Eid, who is prepared by many, the best left back in the club’s history during the 1980s and nineties.
A march that started from Port Said
Mr. Fouad Eid was born in 1964, and grew up in a spherical family, where his brothers Jalal Eid, the winner of the Egypt Cup in 1998 as a coach, and Mohamed Fouad Eid, the star of the Egyptian in the late 1970s. He started his career in the junior of Mars Al -Port Said before moving to the junior sector in the Egyptian, where he led his team to achieve the channel championship under the leadership of the late coach Mohamed Abdel Razek “Al -Kousi”.
Quick climb and early brilliance
Mr. Eid drew attention with his talent, his coach, Al -Kousi, was nominated to join the first team under the leadership of Captain Adel Al -Jazzar, who gave him the opportunity in difficult matches, most notably the Egyptian Cup confrontations against Zamalek and Mahalla, and he did not exceed 18 years. Despite the fierce competition with his colleague Hossam Gwiba, he imposed himself in the starting lineup, especially with the benefit of the experience of the Argentine coach Oscar Feloni, who employed the duo intelligently in the defense line.
International stations and lost opportunities
Mr. Eid was among the choices of the national team under the leadership of the late Mohamed Abdo Saleh Al -Wahsh, then the Welsh Michael Smith, but he did not get the opportunity to play essentially because of the presence of great names such as Rabie Yassin and Badr Hamid.
Despite this, he remained on the list of the team, and participated in the preparatory camps of the 1992 African Cup of Nations, where Captain Mahmoud Al -Gohary praised him, especially after his brilliance in the friendly of Egypt and Romania.
A continuous giving to the end
Mr. Eid continued to provide distinguished levels with Al -Masry under the leadership of a number of foreign and Egyptian coaches, until the team left at the beginning of the 1995/96 season after the decision to renew blood. He refused to retire and moved to Al -Mars Al -Port Said Club, where he led him to climb again to the Premier League, to confirm his ability to give until the last minute.
Khaled’s legacy in the memory of the masses
Despite his distance from the limelight, the fans of Al -Masry still remember Mr. Eid with all appreciation, as one of the most sincere players for the team. It was a model of the fighting spirit and loyalty, and his love for the Egyptian remained present until his departure, so that his name remained engraved in the memory of the lovers of the green castle.
