Yes, the Bahraini woman throughout history read, learned, participated, and put the fingerprints of achievement in all our national renaissance stations. Since the assumption of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the king of the country, may God protect and preserve him, the reins of government, the Kingdom of Bahrain witnessed a comprehensive development in various fields, and the woman had a large share of this progress.
His Majesty the great king is the first supporter of Bahraini women, and at the start of his prosperous era, the Supreme Council for Women was established in 2001 headed by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabika bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, to be the home of experience, and the official reference for everything related to Bahraini women’s affairs, and its pivotal role in empowering women and enhancing their participation in the national renaissance, formulating policies and strategies aimed at enabling women and enhancing their contributions to women Various fields, integrating its development needs, and providing a supportive environment that enables it to achieve its ambitions and contribute effectively to building the country.
Thanks to this continuous support, the prominent and remarkable role of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, in supporting and empowering Bahraini women within the Kingdom’s vision for sustainable development, adopting policies that establish gender equality, equal opportunities, through laws and legislation that enhance women’s rights, protect them from discrimination, and enhance their assumption of leadership positions in the public and private sectors, and entering into New creative areas, which contribute to highlighting efficiency, craftsmanship and high skills that Bahraini women possess.
Yes, Bahraini women have gained all their rights, and have achieved witnesses in various fields. In the political field, we have witnessed a noticeable increase in the representation of women in leadership positions, as the current government includes five ministers who take over vital ministerial portfolios such as health, housing and urban planning, sustainable development, tourism, and youth affairs. This representation reflects the great confidence that the wise leadership of women’s cadres and their ability to lead the helm of development in the dear homeland.
Bahraini women have proven their worth in the economic field, through their active participation in the labor market and entrepreneurship, as reports indicate an increase in the proportion of women in executive positions and startups, which contributes to strengthening the national economy and achieving sustainable development.
The government, headed by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Prime Minister, paid great attention to empowering women, and this was evident in providing budgets responding to the needs of women, as the percentage of these budgets reached 54%, which reflects the government’s commitment to achieving equal opportunities and enhancing the role of women in various sectors.
On this international occasion, which illuminates aspects of women’s progress in all countries of the world, we say that Bahraini women have become global, leadership, and have the will and determination to continue their steps steadfastly and firmly, continue to win achievements, and record success stories in the march of Bahraini development.
We are proud and proud to find the name of Bahraini women in the records of coronation, celebration and appreciation in various regional and international forums, and this is an incentive for more creativity and leadership, and an opportunity to express great praise and appreciation for the wise leadership that put the approach of empowerment, balance and progress, and the Bahraini women gave high confidence to be a basic pillar of all successes, as it constructed the country with their efforts and bid, And it builds society to be firm and advanced.
