The General Authority of Culture Palaces held a cultural meeting entitled “The most important works of Salah Jaheen”, in the Diwan of the Suburbs neighborhood in Port Said Governorate, within the framework of the activities organized by the Ministry of Culture to celebrate the creativity of the great poet and artist Salah Jaheen.

The meeting was opened with a word that dealt with the emergence of the late artist and the impact of his family environment in forming his conscience, as he was born in 1930 for a family interested in culture and press.
The conversation touched on his prominent role in the field of caricature, where he worked with several prominent press institutions, in addition to his contributions to the cinema as an actor and producer of several films, as well as writing about Ramadan puzzles, films, series and plays, and one of his most famous works in this field is “The Big Night”.
The meeting also dealt with his poetic and lyrical works that influenced the conscience of the Egyptian audience, including “Mawal because the channel”, the famous quartets, and the national songs linked to the July 23 Revolution, in addition to the songs presented by senior singers and the Egyptians group.
Culture palaces
This meeting comes within extensive cultural activities organized by the Culture Palaces Authority during the month of February, with the aim of highlighting the creativity of Salah Jaheen, reviving his artistic heritage and promoting the Egyptian identity.
