The General Authority for Urban Planning participated in hearings to discuss updating the general strategic plans of Basyoun cities, Al -Mahalla Al -Kubra, and Al -Satan in Gharbia Governorate, throughout the current week.
The Urban Planning Authority participates in the modernization of the strategic plans for the cities of Gharbia Governorate
The sessions dealt with discussing land uses, future projects, road network and major axes, with the aim of enhancing urban development and improving the quality of life in these cities.
Discussions resulted in a set of important recommendations, regarding land uses and structural proportions to achieve a balance between different uses, and to audit the road network according to the nature -based situation and organization lines.
These recommendations have met a general consensus between the attendees, which reflects a common vision of modernizing the general strategic plan, which contributes to supporting integrated and sustainable urban development.
The sessions witnessed active participation from various development partners, where Eng. Mamdouh Abdel Halim, head of the Regional Center for the Planning and Development of the Delta region, and Dr. Eng. Ahmed Helmy, head of the work team at the authority, along with representatives of the General Administration of Urban Planning in the governorate, city heads, members of the House of Representatives, and officials of the relevant local departments, in addition to a number of citizens, in the context of strengthening community participation in urban planning.
