Hosting the exhibition in the Kingdom of Bahrain comes organized by the Rashid Al Khalifa Foundation for Arts, the Haider Aliyev Center in Baku, and in cooperation and the International Dialogue Association for the Environmental Protection and the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities.

The exhibition includes 106 artworks for 55 artists from 29 countries, in an extension of its message that started in its first edition in the Haider Aliyev Center in the Azerbaijani capital, Baku, within the activities of the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP29) last November.

Sheikh Rashid Al Khalifa, President of the National Council for Arts and President of the Rashid Al Khalifa Foundation for Arts, said: “We are pleased to host the international art exhibition (Mother Nature), which reflects our keenness to extend the bridges of artistic cooperation between countries and enhance cultural exchange. This exhibition comes as an extension of fruitful cooperation with The Republic of Azerbaijan, where we had previously organized an exhibition of Bahraini artists in the capital, Baku, in the presence of Mrs. Laila Aliyeva, and today we are happy with her presence In Bahrain, for our participation in the opening of this exhibition.

He added: “Bahrain, with sublime royal guidance, is keen to support all environmental issues, as climate change is one of the most prominent challenges facing the world today. The Kingdom’s commitment to facing these challenges is evident in its many initiatives, and hosting this exhibition comes in line with this vision, Where art contributes to spreading environmental awareness and motivating societies to take actual steps towards a sustainable future. ” The environment includes three paintings by the artist Rashid Al Khalifa from the “Transit of the Nile” series, which is inspired by ancient Egyptian beliefs about the life cycle, where the eastern bank of the Nile symbolizes life, while the West Bank represents death, which reflects the daily journey of the sun. This series reflects the deep relationship between nature and spirituality, and seeks to highlight the emotional and cultural impact of the environment in human consciousness.

The exhibition also offers the artwork “The Magic Cup for Life”, which is the composition of multiple media by the artist Laila Alia, through which it reviews the transformational nature of water and its role in the environmental balance. Next to this work is shown 45 paintings for the artist, highlighting the strength of the water and its ability to adapt, and its decisive role in continuing or destroying life.

Commenting on the exhibition, Laila Aliyeva said: “In the era of global warming, the call for sustainability is increasing more than ever. And we must meet to protect our planet for future generations.
