The committee’s report confirmed that the draft law took into account the balance in organizing work hours and rest periods so that it is not permissible to deviate from its provisions, but it excluded from this some of the actions determined by the minister concerned with a decision of it, and the employer was also allowed to employ the worker on the day of his comfort without objection from him, However, it is required that there are justifications for this employment and obtain the approval of the administrative authority on this, which is an organizational matter and is not considered an interference in the authority of the employer in the facility management.
In turn, Representative Adel Abdel -Fadil, Chairman of the Parliamentary Manpower Committee, reviewed the report of the joint committee on the draft law.
The deputy said before the plenary session that the draft law includes a new vision of workers and business owners, without prejudice to the principle of balance between the two parties, in line with the new changes and the huge developments that Egypt witnessed in its infrastructure in all sectors, including industry, trade and agriculture, and attracting national and foreign investments, And enhance the role of the private sector.
He explained that the draft labor law is based on a new philosophy that builds balanced labor relations between the two parties to the productive process, and to preserve the rights of workers to ensure the continuity of work and increase production.
