The Department of Islamic and Coptic Antiquities at the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities announced the return of the archaeological restoration of Al -Shennawi Palace in Mansoura, within the framework of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities plan to develop archaeological sites.

The Department of Islamic and Coptic Antiquities at the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities said, in a statement, that Dr. Mohamed Ismail, Secretary -General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, directed the speedy completion of any obstacles to hindering the work in the archaeological palace and searching for buildings of heritage value in the ancient city.
The Department of Islamic and Coptic Antiquities at the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities added: A group of facilities of technical and archaeological value have been monitored to evaluate their registration as monuments, and the specialized committees in the Islamic and Coptic Antiquities sector began preparing the necessary studies to present to the competent committees.
It is noteworthy that the palace was held by Ibrahim Pasha El -Shennawi in 1928, and it is located on the first Suez Canal Street in the city of Mansoura, near the building of the General Court of the Governorate. That belongs to the Baroque and Rococo model.
