The decrease in the unemployment rate in Egypt to 6.4% during the fourth quarter of 2024 despite the challenges

Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, said that unemployment rates in Egypt witnessed a decrease of 6.4% during the fourth quarter of 2024, which is a positive indication, as the government attached great interest in providing job opportunities for young people, especially with increased population density.

Madbouly: The energy sector in Egypt will witness an increase in production within two years

Madbouly explained during a press conference after the weekly government meeting, that the Ingis exhibition was opened and attended by the Cypriot President, noting that he met Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah and discussed the electrical connection between Egypt and Saudi Arabia. In Egypt, there will be an increase in production during the next two years.

During the government meeting today, the Council of Ministers approved a draft decision of the President of the Republic regarding amending the framework of the International Solar Energy Alliance, as it will allow membership amendment to the various United Nations member states to join the alliance, and to become members of it.

It is noteworthy that this alliance aims to expand the use of solar energy and pave the way for future technology to align needs and deal with challenges and obstacles, in a way that contributes to reducing costs, increasing efficiency and producing reliable and cheap solar energy within the reach of all.

Cabinet meeting today

The Council of Ministers approved a draft decision of the President of the Republic regarding the financing agreement for the European Union Support Program for Egypt’s National Population Strategy -the second stage, funded by a grant of 12 million euros, between the government and the European Union.
