Within the framework of the meeting of the Bahraini -Egyptian government committee for commercial, economic, scientific and technological cooperation, the joint committee visits the pearl path site in Muharraq in the presence of Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, Dr. Ahmed Kajuk, Minister of Finance in the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt, a number of ministers and senior officials From both sides.
During the tour, the Minister of Finance and National Economy stressed the importance of the Pearl Path site project in the city of Muharraq in promoting the tourism sector and supporting the national economy, noting that tourism today constitutes one of the investment attractions that contribute to the supply of the paths of the desired economic growth, pointing to His Excellency to the project represents from An important symbol of Bahrain’s ancient history and a distinguished legacy, embodies the economic and social identity of Bahraini society, and it is a witness to the history of the Kingdom of Bahrain As an ancient center for pearl trade in the region.
This, and the tour included a visit to a number of historical and archaeological monuments such as a sovereign house and the Pearl Museum, etc., where the history of the pearl industry in the Kingdom of Bahrain and its role in supporting the national economy was reviewed.
