The Lebanese army entered a number of southern villages, in which its forces and mechanisms deployed, after the withdrawal of the Israeli occupation army, according to the Cairo News Channel in a breaking news, quoting Lebanese media.
Israel’s withdrawal from Lebanon
It reported Lebanese media, that the Lebanese army entered the towns of Mays Al -Jabal and Blaida and sent its mechanisms towards Maroun Al -Ras and Yaron after the Israeli occupation forces retreated.
Earlier, the Israel Broadcasting Corporation reported that the occupation forces withdrew from southern Lebanon, with the exception of 5 sites, with the expiry of the scheduled deadline.
A Lebanese security official stated that the occupation forces began to withdraw from the border villages with the progress of the Lebanese army, with the end of the deadline for implementing the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hezbollah.
In the same context, a spokesman for the Israeli occupation army stated that the army would leave small numbers of forces in five strategic locations in southern Lebanon after the withdrawal date on February 18.
