The New York Times reported that the Russian government released an American citizen on Monday, who was being held for possession of a small amount of marijuana, before talks between Russian officials and Americans in Saudi Arabia.

According to Reuters, 28 -year -old Calop Pyers Wayne was arrested at Fanukovo Airport in Moscow, while examining the luggage on February 7, after customs officials found cannabis jam in his luggage.
In another context, the Kremlin spokesman said that the talks that will be held in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday aim to restore relations between Moscow and Washington, and therefore certain events can be seen in this context, according to the New York Times.
