Al -Malab newspaper – Real Madrid was keen to honor its retired Brazilian star, Marcelo, before the start of the derby match against Atletico Madrid tonight.
Marcelo officially declared his retirement a few days ago, after a career with achievements and championships.
In a wonderful gesture, Real Madrid honored Marcelo, before the Atletico match, today, Saturday, at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, in the meetings of the 23rd round of La Liga.
All the attendees at the Bernabeu Stadium, including the Atletico Madrid delegation, were keen to stand and salute Marcelo.
The Real captain Luka Modric also presented the team’s shirt from all players to Marcelo.
Real players were completely keen to take a memorial photo with Marcelo.
Marcelo is one of the legends of the Real, where he has played 546 games for 16 seasons, during which he achieved 25 titles: 5 cups in the Champions League, 4 club cups for clubs, 3 European super cups, 6 titles in the Spanish League, 2 with the King’s Cup, and 5 cup Spanish super.
