In its ninth edition, the International Festival of Photography “Express 2025” honored the winners of the two independent press photographers, where he won the first place in the award of independent independent photojournalist Saher Al Ghoura.
Palestine will win the prizes of the independent journalist photographer in Express 2025
Tariq Saeed Alie, Director General of the Sharjah Government’s media office, delivered the prizes to the winners, in the presence of a group of media figures, artists and photography lovers. The selection of the winners Saher Al -Ghawara and the Palestinian Mustafa Hassouna came from a short list that included seven photographers who qualified for the final stage of hundreds of participants in the “Independent Press Photographer” award from different countries of the world.
Saher Al -Ghoura won the award for his project “We have no escape”, which documents influential visual scenes that reflect the repercussions of the war in Gaza, while Palestinian photographer Mustafa Hassouna came in second place for his work that reflects the dimensions of the Israeli aggression on Palestine, which highlights the vital role of the image in documenting Human suffering.
