His Excellency Mrs. Fatima bint Jaafar Al -Serafi, Minister of Tourism, confirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain is committed to supporting tourism investment as a basic pillar to enhance sustainable development, in line with the slogan of the Arab Tourism Day for this year, “Investment and Tourism”.
This came in a statement to her happiness on the occasion of the Arab Tourism Day, which was identified on February 25, where this year comes under the title “Tourism and Investment”.
Al -Serafi explained that the tourism sector is one of the most important economic tools that contribute to supporting the national economy by increasing the gross domestic product, through investments that contribute to creating more direct and indirect job opportunities, noting that tourism represents one of the vital sectors supporting economic development in countries Arabic, which necessitates the intensification of joint efforts to achieve sustainable development.
Al-Serafi stressed that the Kingdom of Bahrain continues its efforts to attract tourism investments and enhance the environment supporting the growth of this vital sector, in line with the tourism strategy for the Kingdom of Bahrain for the years 2022-2026.
Al -Serafi noted the advanced tourist infrastructure and a distinct investment environment, through the laws and legislations that contribute to attracting and protecting investments, which enhances the opportunities to attract major tourism projects, pointing out that tourism investment is not limited to supporting the economy only, but also contributes to Enhancing cultural exchange by highlighting the local heritage and promoting national identity, as well as its role in Diversifying the sources of national income, which supports economic stability in the long term, and confirmed the importance of continuing to develop tourism as an effective economic tool that contributes to improving the various economic sectors and creating new job opportunities, which benefits the country.
Her Excellency stressed the importance of the growing cooperation and coordination between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the organizations concerned with the tourism sector, whether regional or international, which contributes to enhancing the position of the Kingdom of Bahrain on the global tourism map, and highlighting the ancient cultural, cultural and historical aspects that distinguish it. She also noted her happiness at the importance of joint Arab cooperation in developing tourism and investment, noting that collective work between Arab countries contributes to attracting Arab and international capital and enhancing the competitiveness of the Arab tourism sector at the global level, which makes the region an attractive and prosperous tourist destination.
Al -Serafi called for the development of effective partnerships and strategies that enhance the experiences of tourists and improve the quality of tourism services, which is beneficial to all Arab countries, stressing the importance of coordinating efforts between the member states of the Arab Tourism Organization to ensure the achievement of concrete results in developing tourism activity, which contributes to enhancing the status Tourism for Arab countries.
