The fourth local pigeon race for a distance of 340 km in Bahrain witnessed strong competition between amateurs from various governorates, resulting in the victory of a group of contestants who achieved the best results in both the northern and southern governorates and Muharraq.
In Muharraq Governorate, Hamad Al -Sulaiti achieved the first place, while the Rashdan team won the second, third, fourth and fifth places, in a clear brilliance of this team during the race.
In the southern governorate, the contestant Hussein Mohamed from the village of Damistan dominated the first four places, while Habib Mohamed Habib came from Hamad Town in fifth place, to complete the list of the winners in this province.
In the northern province, Sayed Abbas was able to impose his control on the race, as it achieved the first five centers, in a distinguished achievement that reflects his superiority in these competitions.
Mr. Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Kaabi, a member of the Bahraini Committee for Popular Heritage Sports, Chairman of the Hijl Bath Committee, praised the high level presented by the participants, stressing that this new race reflects the passion of amateurs to raise and train homing pigeons.
Al -Kaabi also indicated that the preparations are underway to organize a new joint race at the level of all governorates of Bahrain, for a distance of 800 km at the conclusion of the 2025 homing bathroom season.
