In the presence and patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Vice President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Authority for Sports, Chairman of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, the General Sports Authority organized the Bahrain Sports Day at the Sama Bay Park in Muharraq Governorate on Thursday 20 February 2025 .
The Bahrain Sports Day celebration witnessed a number of His Highnesses, Excellency, Ministers, senior officials, heads of federations, clubs, youth empowerment centers, representatives of the diplomatic corps, a number of invitees, senior guests and national team players..
The Bahrain Sports Day celebration included a series of various sporting activities, including more than 30 sports games and different competitions, holding the marathon race, challenging obstacles, championships, e -games, cycling round, in addition to several other entertainment and music programs, foods for foods and interactive theater.
On this occasion, His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa stressed that Bahrain Sports Day has become a national occasion that reflects the importance of sport in society and enhances awareness of its importance in the lives of individuals, noting that the various activities that this day witnessed reflects the cohesion of Bahraini society and the participation of various official and popular sectors in supporting sports As a way of life.
His Highness expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, may God protect him, for His Highness to agree to allocate half a working day on Bahrain Sports Day to all ministries and government agencies to celebrate this day.
His Highness praised the great demand from governmental and private institutions, citizens and residents of sports activities, which reflects the success of the initiative in achieving its goals in spreading the culture of sport and enhancing the concept of sustainable physical activity. His Highness also emphasized that the wise leadership, may God preserve and sponsor it, is keen to support initiatives that enhance the health of society and establish the values of sports as a way to enhance social communication and achieve sustainable development..
His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa added that Bahrain Sports Day reflects the Kingdom’s commitment to a future vision that enhances the concept of sport for all, by providing a comprehensive sports environment that allows all age groups to practice physical activities, which contributes to improving the quality of life and enhancing the concept of living in a healthy and balanced manner.
His Highness concluded by emphasizing the importance of continuing these initiatives and developing them in a way that contributes to promoting Bahraini sport at various levels, wishing all the continuity of health and activity, and His Highness also thanked all those in charge of organizing the event, supportive companies, ministries and government bodies in support.
